Don't worry its definitely not that big.
I only have an 8Gb hard drive and my Guild Wars currently sits inside a 4Gb partition of that drive, of which other applications take up around 1 Gb or so. EDIT : Well its not that big for me, but its size does vary, the answer from the Support line could be interesting. Last edited by Kidney Licker; Mar 27, 2006 at 12:20 AM // 00:20.. |

Was j/k around a bit but I think it could do with the way in which GW "runs".
4Gb might be right because there are compressed files there. Maybe the OP has enough room on his PC for the GW application to "decide" not to compress any files for performance reasons. I've seen my GW.Dat file shoot up to 2.2 Gb sometimes and then back down to 1.7 Gb later. I find the size of GW.dat a bit mystifying myself as sometimes when I log in and files are downloaded when trying to zone to a city I find that GW.dat doesn't change at all?? The Support line might be able to shed more light on the file size. |
